What Is Panda Algorithmic Update?: Google Panda and how it affects your website. Google Panda is an update that Google released in 2011 and What Google Panda sets out to do is to separate high-quality websites from low-quality websites. So, an example of a low-quality website might be a website that has duplicate content or spammy links. The websites that Google sees as a lot of quality would tend to rank lower as a result of Google Panda. Where are the websites that Google Sees as high quality will rank higher in the search engines? We recently attended an event about Google. Speakers there told about Google Panda and how it’s going to affect websites in 2016 and even moving into 2017 and beyond. And, Google Panda has become one of Google’s core ranking factors when they determine what website should rank highly. What Is Panda Algorithmic Update?

And, what websites should not? But enough of all of the technical stuff, what can you do to ensure that your website is not affected by Google Panda. Even now or in the future, well, firstly you want to make sure that your content is of high quality. Now, speaking about creating quality content in the previous article. But essentially you want to be writing for your end consumer. Don’t write for search engines, write for people. Your website should have some sort of value to it.

Now, get us wrong a sales page is valuable as well. Not all of your content on your website needs to be a blog article or a helpful article. You can have a page that sells your products or sells your service. But the main thing is to make sure that your pages are relevant to whatever keywords you are trying to rank for. So, for example, if you are trying to run for the keyword sunglasses review then make sure that the page you are subscribing for, that particular keyword is an overview of sunglasses.

And, now just a sales page of your sunglasses and yes you can actually. Link to the sales page of sunglasses. But you want to make sure that page is relevant. Now, another thing that the Google employee planted out at the event that we attended recently was spelling and grammar. How that is becoming more important to Google Panda in terms of what content is high quality and what content is low quality. Now, we will be the first one to put our hands up and say our spelling. Whenever you are creating content for your website get a second person’s opinion to just to look over the content to see if they can support any spelling errors or any typos or even any grammatical errors that you can quickly change and help you to rank better in the search engines.

Now, this is not something that Google Employee will mention anywhere. What we feel is important if not now they will be important in the future and that’s copyright content as well. Make sure you don’t have any copyright images or copyright material on your website. And if you do need to borrow images or videos from the internet. Make sure they are royalty-free but an even better idea than that is to have original photos and videos for your particular website.

Now, whenever you are creating a website don’t think selfishly about that website. Now, what we mean by this is some people actually will create a website for their benefit. So, that they can sell a product or they can sell their service. But, they don’t think about their end-user. Your website should be helpful. It should be evil, informative, it should be entertaining or it should be simple and easy for people to purchase a product or a service that they have been looking for if you can effectively meet the needs of your website visitors.

And, if you can keep them at the centre of all of your website making decisions. Then, you should be fine in terms of Panda Updates or any other updates that Google may release. Our other SEO technique and strategy for you is to not just focus on SEO. It’s also important for you to focus on other traffic-building methods and we will be speaking about some of them in a future article.
